Hey there! I’m Allison, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, coach, and therapist-in-training.  

As a teen, I struggled with obsessive food thoughts and got stuck in the restrict-binge cycle. I was constantly dieting and restricting food, caving in and eating uncontrollably, feeling immense shame, and then starting the cycle over again. 

This issue carried on into my mid-twenties. Food and my body were the enemy. I believed that food was my addiction.

I would think to myself: if I can just be strong enough and stick with this diet for real this time, I’ll finally get myself out of this mess.

What I didn’t see coming? It would only get worse. I knew there had to be a better way.

I now live a life where food enriches my life. My body and I exist in harmony, and working out is something I look forward to.

  • Science is on our side. Intuitive Eating is a framework that is backed up by years of peer-reviewed research. Don’t just take my word for it! Research shows that dieting is not sustainable in the long term and that Intuitive Eating is key to overall health.

  • No! If you desire to heal your relationship with food and your body in ANY way (that could mean you want to ditch dieting for good, you want to learn how to pursue authentic health without diet culture BS, or you want to explore how your emotions relate to your eating) but you don’t experience binging or overeating, THIS IS STILL FOR YOU! This program was created with binge eating in mind, however, the beauty of private coaching is I can tailor what we explore together based on your unique needs. We cover a wide range of topics here. I encourage you to apply if anything I’ve shared resonates!

  • There is no specific start date for the program. However, I only open a very limited number of spots. Once those spots are full, it’s closed until the next opening later this year!

  • No. Even though I am a future therapist, the work we will do together is coaching. There are many differences between coaching and therapy. Therapy focuses on clinically treating a mental illness. The work we do here will focus on your overall mindset and well-being, motivating you toward your goals.

  • This coaching program does not replace eating disorder treatment. While coaching can be a great addition to treatment, therapy, or nutrition services, it is not an appropriate level of care as a stand-alone option for treating an eating disorder.

  • When struggling with disordered eating, it is common to desire weight loss. If this is you, you are welcome here! However, please keep in mind that I value mental health over intentional weight loss. This is not a weight loss program. My philosophy is you cannot have a goal to lose weight and a goal to heal the root cause of binge eating at the same time. If your main priority is to lose weight, BFB may not be for you. No matter where you’re at, I encourage you to apply so we can discuss this more!

  • Yes! I offer monthly payment plans. If you are concerned about the cost of working with me, please reach out anyway! I would be happy to discuss any barriers you may be facing and can be flexible with payment plans on a case-by-case basis. I never want finances to be the reason why you can’t get support.
